History of Vintage Cooperative of Ankeny

In 2016, Ewing Development began seeking shareholders to create a senior housing cooperative designed to support independent living and community. With commitments from 27 founding shareholders, construction of the 45-unit Vintage Cooperative of Ankeny began in the fall of 2017. Interest continued to grow during construction, and by the time the building was completed, the cooperative had expanded beyond its original shareholder group. The Vintage Cooperative of Ankeny welcomed its first residents on January 11, 2018. The community is conveniently located in southwest Ankeny, near the commercial area known as The District, offering residents easy access to shopping, dining, and services.
