Annual Meeting

ANNUAL MEETING:

Our annual meeting this year is on Saturday, April 11th at 2pm in Acierto Park. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Bring your own chair and meet your neighbors. We would like to get neighborhood watch up and rolling and invite you to join and help in keeping our neighborhood safe. Refreshments will be available.

Ballots:

Running an effective homeowners association takes the work of many. Sure, the board can hold meetings and make decisions, but what really makes an HOA community a great place to live is the involvement of its members. Through committees and volunteers, our neighborhood can build a sense of unity and enjoyment for all.

We will have a ballot on-line in EasyHOA, once posted login to your Homeowner Account and pleae vote by April 11. If you would like to volunteer on the HOA board of directors, click on the "Other" Box and write in your name or contact your HOA Board of Directors . Also encourage your neighbors to also write in your name to vote for you. Login to your Homeowner Account and pleae vote by April 11. Thank you for your support.

Christmas Decorating Contest

Every year our neighborhood delights with the sites of holiday lights! Prizes will be awarded on Saturday December 20th!

One of our wonderful homeowners is also collecting food for the food bank in front of their amazing light display at 1740 Calle Del Querido.

First Place wins $100

Second Place wins $75

Third Place wins $50

As always, your annual assessments must be paid in full and you cannot have any violations pending.

Wash & Buffer Yard Clean Up
Wash and Buffer Yard Clean-up starting Saturday, January 13
Your Las Colonias Board of Directors has contracted with Marroquin Landscaping for this year's clean-up.  
 
Following the flooding, which occurred in the summer of 2021, the Town of Sahuarita has ordered property owners to clean up their common areas and wildlife corridors at least annually. We completed the 1st cleanup of the Washes last year and it was quite a project. To be in continued compliance we will have this done again this year which is why we have contracted with Maroquin Landscaping to perform the clean-up project. They will begin Saturday, January 13.
 
This year they will also have them clean-up the Buffer Yard around Colonias La Canada. The Buffer Yard is the 20 behind your wall, owned by the HOA.
 
Reminder:  The Town of Sahuarita law states that throwing yard debris or other trash over the wall is illegal dumping and is punishable by law.  In addition; it also creates a fire hazard, draws rodents and snakes and is a health and hygiene issue for you and your neighbors. Homeowners are prohibited from occupying and/or putting anything in the area behind their wall or along the wash beside your property. The washes are wildlife corridors (and the property of the HOA) and are not for your use in any form or fashion. If you have any belongings in these areas, please remove them immediately--they will be removed as part of our current Clean-up project.

New Homeowner On-line HOA software
Your HOA Board is excited to announce our new online software! Each homeowner has access to view their account, make a payment, view any CC&R violations and can make architectural requests. Go to ColoniasLaCanadaHOA.com and click on "HOA Login" then click on the Owner Login in the upper right hand corner. (On your mobile - select the 3 bars & select "HOA Login"; select the 3 bars again & select the blue "Owner Login" button)
